You’ve probably arrived at this page from the “Animate to Harmony” book. It was written back in 2014 when Toon Boom had just released Harmony 11. I’m updating this post February 2021 and we’re now using Harmony 20.
While the book still offers some decent guidance for timeline animation and general Toon Boom workflow, the screenshots and icons are very outdated. Animate and Animate Pro no longer exist and were replaced by Harmony Essentials, Advanced and Premium. They’ve undergone a ton of advancements and improvements.
The old chapter files are longer hosted here, but if you really really really really reallyreallyreally want them, I can probably dig them up for you. Feel free to message me through my contact page.
Alternatively, if you’d like to ask me questions directly, I regularly stream live on Twitch and I use Harmony every day. If you ask me a question while I’m live streaming, I’m always happy to answer and demonstrate with the very latest versions of Harmony and Storyboard Pro.
For the sake of the old versions, I’ll leave this video here in which I explained some of the changes between Harmony 10 and 11. Ah the memories.
