Plot: the year 2013, the world has delved into virtual reality many times, with such advancements as the Brain-Pod, a device that you put into your ears, which connects to your brain to put you into a trance-like state for gaming. But, demonic presences are present in the world. As the world's gaming networks evolved, so did they. They launched their master plan the month after the release of a game made by them, Mirror Breaker.The game was a success, with billions playing every day. but soon, monsters from the game started appearing in reality. some thought it was secret government experiments, but in reality it was the demon's ability to hack into the web and bring out whatever they pleased. The game, Mirror Breaker, became reality. the whole world was literally plunged into a steam/desert punk setting.

The whole of North and South America combined to form the jungle-covered country of Florilla, ruled by semi-sentient plant life, tribes of beast-people, and jungles. the country only housed 5 large cities. The area between Africa and Iran became all desert. including the two countries. Only one city was built. a large, but falling apart city. The area came to be known as "the wastelands", the city was called Tarantorpia, after the two most common pests there: Tarantulas and Scorpions. The rest of Asia became a place dominated by Oni, Tengu, and malevolent spirits. The only city spared was Tokyo, renamed "Machine Town" because they had more advanced machinery. The UK became flooded except for a ring of small islands and Wales. The place became notorious for sea-monster attacks, driving trade away from the new cities of "Aquali", "New New England", and "Seagull".

The demons hid themselves away, manipulating the world from the shadows. Most people lived in the city of Seagull because it was the largest one, containing 1/10 of the world's population. and that is where our story begins.

Biography: Mortem and Aevum are probably the two most unusual demons. they were born as twins, each missing an eye. Mortem controls the dark, while Aevum controls light. Mortem is batshitzania insane while Aevum is calm. working together, both are deadly.
