I haven't been here in quite a while. Just the other day, an old friend (the one who introduced me to Adam's work in the first place) found me on Facebook. We hadn't spoken in years, and he told me that he's majoring in 3D animation, and that he's finished a few comic books and a graphic novel. Suddenly, I remembered that I hadn't been to the Bitey forum in a very long time! I can't believe that I've been a member since 2004! I had just turned 14 when I first signed up, and next month I'll be 22. Jeez.
Seems pretty dead around here lately, but I'm assuming a lot of the regulars check up every so often!
I've been in the navy for about 3 and a half years now, and I'll be going to Afghanistan next month. What have you guys been up to?

Heya! I haven't been on these forums for a while either (and I was just thinkin about starting a thread asking what people's lives we're like when they first joined the forum, and what people's lives are like now).
SO, I joined this forum 7 years ago when I was a dorky 12 year old kid obsessed with Korean MMORPGs, who doodled on the side, but pretty much only concentrated on schoolwork.
Now, I'm a dorky 19 year old attending a liberal arts college majoring in both Film studies and Philosophy after working my ass off on college admissions exams and Advanced Placement classes, only to realize that what I really want to do in life is not become a lawyer or something, but to draw, make art, or work in the film industry (and check dying childhood forums at 4am when I have a film history class in the morning). Also, instead of Korean MMOs, I'm obsessed with My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. It's a great show, give it a chance--it's not like other girls'-toy-cartoons; you'll be surprised.
Edit: I'm still loving my fat sack raccoon pirate avatar!

Joined 8 years ago. Holy moly. Way on back in high school, right after I watched Bitey of Brackenwood for the first time. Now I'm working as a geologist up in the great white north of Manitoba. If you don't know where that is, look on the top of the globe, and its just slightly below that. ^_^
I also have grown an enviable beard (a red one, just to be different from ol' Siggy) in the intervening years.

I've been distracted by uni. Tremendous amounts of work, but you'd be surprised what degree level engineering does for your programming skills. I didn't realise until recently that the forum link is under the links heading. That's been keeping me out for a while as well.

Joined 6 years ago, making that me the ripe old age of 13, Being a general nuissance to everybody. Now I'm at Wollongong University doing a Degree of Chemistry, going to doof's and other bushy activities, such as growing a beard and settling for a middle ground ginger.

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain

I don't know what reminded me to visit Brackenwood forum today, but it's been a WHILE. I'm not as seasoned as any of you guys, haha. Only joined a few years ago, lurked for a straight year before that. A lot has changed though, I graduated college and have been working at an oil refinery. Kind of narrowed my art interests down to video editing. I'm actually going to start an editing business on the side, but I got hung up on legality of using other people's music in my video's.
Lot of good times on the forum, cool seeing familiar faces (or...avatars).

I think I joined at the age of 15, which would have been 6 years ago. I fell off the face of the forum years ago, though. Three years in the US Marine Corps and some firefights in Afghanistan later, I'm trying to get my foot back in the animation game before I EAS and start asking people if they'd like fries with that.
Which is probably the reason I decided to check back here, today.
