The Golden Cube Game

[Woo]

Blinking back tears from the pain still in her wing, Kai held up the glittering diamond and watched the rainbow of colours sparkle within. looking around and seeing she was once again alone, she bit the solid stone, found that it wasnt tasty or pleasant, but still pretty, and instead slipped it into a pocket and limped after the path Munch and Cyn had taken, determined not to lose track of them.

Munch noticed someone was far behind, he quickly jumped into a dark hole below the stump of a large tree.
It was concealed with trees.
He did not know exactly where he was heading as he continued to crawl through the pitch black tunnel. He could not see any part of his body, even his hands close to his face. There was nothing there.
So he continued feeling drips on his skin from the soil above. He couldnt hear any sound outside but assumed they would still be after him. "God these artifacts always belong to someone dont they. They dont tell me these things when they sign me up for these missions."
He pulled out a walky talky from his backback whilst feeling around with his hands. ZZZ "Sir. I am in a rather... dark situation. There is someone after me. I met two creatures and they dont seem so happy i've taken the cube. What do i do?"
On the other side of the forest inside a small metal cabin the man replied.

[Woo]

slowly the figure ahead in the distance began to fade, and the world around her became misty and started to spin as the blood loss caught up on Kai. she still stumbled on, as far as she could, but the tracker far in front vanished from view and the floor rose up to meet her.

blackness.
the smell of soil and rotten leafs.
she was dimly aware of the feel of small pebbles against her face, of birds chattering in the background, and of a strange buzzing coming from not too far off.
then black again. and heaviness. everything was so, so heavy.

Cyn approached the hole in the tree trunk. "Well this is just bothersome." He promptly pulled out a flamethrower and aimed it down the hole. He pulled the trigger

Munch felt a heat on his skin. Soaring fast towards him was boilng yellow flames. He, without thought pulled the tiny bubble from his pocket and squeezed it. Suddenly it inflated once again trapping him safely inside.
As the fire rushed through like water down a river Munch, inside the bubble soared through the tunnel at a lightning speed until the fire behind disapeared in the dark. Soon a spark of light appeared and Munch shot out of the end and crashed into a bush.
At the speed he was going he didnt notice how far he had been pushed. The tree he has originally climbed under was miles away just visible in the distance. The hunter with the flame thrower was just a blur. As it was absolutely impossible for the creature to notice him escape the hole this far away he made his way across the forest again finally reaching a patch of desert. Across the scope was the small metal cabin. He pulled out his muddy walky talky."Boss, i am almost there. get the weapons in case the creature follows me."

[Darkly Chaotic]

the panther slipped from the shadows and gazed down on the bird-man thing. with a monkey like chitter, he ran off. he quickly came back with many herbs and plants. he began to grind it up into a paste and applied it to the wound in her wing. he grabbed her and carried her to a hollow where he boiled the water to cleanse the wound andn clear the infection. when she was passed out he found the diamond and quickly stuck it in a pocket in his mouth.

A lick of flame burst a short distance out of the tunnel's exit. It caught Cyn's eye as he studied the landscape. Just beyond it he could see a figure running. "To easy, he should have stayed in the trees." He raised the scope of the rifle to his eyes. "I won't kill him, he's an old friend of ours after all. Maybe just blow out a knee cap." He leveled the gun, took aim and the five time marksmanship champion of the world pulled the trigger. His aim was true, and a hole punched through Munch's knee before he had heard the sound of the gunshot.

As Munch collapsed into the bush his whole body blinked in the air, a shock of white noise, a television without a reception. and his body was gone.

Behind a tree nearby Munch pressed a button on his mini set-up laptop. "Holograms do come in handy. He's a good shot that one. I need to get out of here fast." After packing up the laptop he climbed up a tree hoping the hunter hadnt seen any movement.
he swung his blade hard slicing a giant branch, full to the top with thick green. It fell fast and crashed down below blocking any way past.... for a moment. Munch leapt down and ran for his life.
The small metal cabin was getting closer.
Professor Bernard was standing out the front with a shotgun. "The others are inside preparing. Is it big?"
"It's... i think.. human-like.. so yeah kind of big boss"
Professor Bernard looked surprised. "those idiots inside forgot to scan the planet for life. They didnt think it was necassary"
"Well.. just shoot ok. I'm going to go inside."

munch went inside the cabin.

Professor Bernard, his boss stood shaking outside with his shotgun at arm.

[Nimnim]

(in this game, I am an elf shrouded in shadow with batwings and red eyes...like a giant, mutant, YuYu. my name is shero)

Shero was startled as munch entered, he saw he was holding a golden cube. shero's lust for gold drove him and he dashed for the cube, grabbing it and running out the door, flying into the sky with his wings.

Munch ran outside bumping into the professor. "SHOOT THAT BAT THING!"
The professor instantly began to fire the shot gun at the shadow in the sky. "HOW DID IT GET IN THE CABIN MUNCH?"
"How should i know? I just got here, GET THAT GOLDEN CUBE BACK!"
A splatter of red lit in the sky and the elf began to fall.
But it fell and landed closer to the forest... closer to the other creatures.......
"Oh dear.."

[Darkly Chaotic]

the panther-monkey glanced up as a dark form fell through the canopy. he jumped up as it hit the ground with a solid/ wet thud and lay there. he slowly stepped foward and saw the golden object clutched in its hands. with a grunt he pulled it free and ran into the shadows of the forest. he glanced back with a doubt of leaving the bird-man behind, but turned and lept to a low branch and climbed into the canopy, leaping away quickly, as quiet as a shadow.

A net of steal cables sprang suddenly out of the foliage ahead and carried the monkey-thing to the ground.

Cyn caught the cube from the falling creatures hands as it landed beside him. "My my, you seem to have a lot of people interested in you." He ran a finger lightly over the surface and pressed strategically in the approximate center of a side.

A six beams of barely visible light shot off in six different directions. "There are more, I suspected as much. Let's see what happens when we put them all together then, shall we?" After setting the direction firmly in his head, Cyn shut off the light trail and began walking in pursuit of the next cube.

"You sir, are a hefty piece of merchandise." He twisted at the corner of the cube and it became smaller in size, until it fit easily into one of his many pockets. "Time to find your brothers and sisters."

[Darkly Chaotic]

the panther-monkey screeched and strained against the bonds, but to no avail. slowly from the canopy came a dark mob of similar creatures. they settled down and began to work on the bonds, bit by bit loosening them, until they slid loose with a metallic hiss. the panther-monkey ((Ponky for clarity)) rose and chattered with the others. then they rose and disappeared into the trees with no trace other than the metal net left behind and a swishing of branches as if stirred by a gentle wind.

Shero healed his wound and sniffed the air, smelling the cube. he races after the cube, passing tree after tree, being bombarded by bugs, and stepping on a squirrel.

Cyn stood within another temple, before him on a stand sat a ruby cube. "A different color, I wonder what the significance of that is.v He picked it up, exited the temple and found a new bearing for the next cube. Twisting a corner on the ruby cube, it to shank and Cyn placed in a pocket separate from the gold one.
