Just a doodle, some anatomy issues that bug me, but I like it nevertheless.
Scanning colored pencil on cheap paper is a pain. I have to find a better way of doing this.



Some playing with type in illustrator. Trying to get some of that quirky looking hand cut type.
Though I was mostly inspired by David Carson's work for RayGun in the mid 90's.
Been looking at a lot of grunge graphics design lately.
The cut and paste aesthetic is something I really enjoy, also in music.

Franklin Gothic in various weights and widths was used as a base.
Expanded shapes and messed with the control points a little.
Used a default Illustrator ink outline brush for the grungy edges effect.

Riding back home from a visit to my grandfather, I was daydreaming away in my imaginary world.
When I came home I tried to nail one of those visions down in Photoshop, halfway through,
my vision of a deserted stone complex turned into something more metal and futuristic.

So I didn't really manage to capture it, but I'm quite happy with this first digital in quite a while.
Don't critique me on the perspective errors, I was trying to set a mood as soon as possible,
as such, perspective measurements were thrown out of the window  Azn

yeah i think it looks sawwweeeeet and those other works are looking great! I like the little chicken! I actually have a t design where a little bird creature has the heart coming out of his head for a bigger bird. Ill have to get stuff uploaded........ Loves ya!

Your lighting is exceptional Pieter. Really great stuff. I love your hatching techniques. You should write a little tutorial on hatching. The tree in the the previous page is downright gorgeous and the sets of hatching you did on it really gave it a lot of shape and texture. Amazing dude Amazing.

Oh and I love your mixed media to achieve different textures.
Your hans in the air is great. What was that for?
