Just curious, if anyone has any suggestions on places to stay, sites to see, etc.

I've mentioned that I'm attending my best friend's wedding (ugg...hated that film...) oop in Brisbane (or rather north of there at the rainforest) on 7th of January. I'll actually be lurking about from the 4th until the 13th, and am still undecided on how to spread the days out, though I need to lock them down quite soon.

Anywhere to make sure I see, stay...avoid?  Grin
And are the critters really designed to specifically kill anything they encounter?...kidding! Wink

Thanks in advance everyone!

Erm, i live in brisbane. Not up to date on the best stuff to do.

I guess if you like starts you should check out the planeterium at mt cootha, if you like beer the 4 x brewery does tours (ill tell you what thats like tomorrow).

I cant really think of anything that is must do though :/.

Thanks Muzz! I think I’ll hit that and be sure to bring my wide-angle lens. Some of the photos I've seen are amazing! Dunno about the brewery though; I’m actually allergic to the hops or something in beer (it could be worse, I suppose, but walking through villages with micro-breweries on every corner is a kind of special torture  Grin)

The wedding is actually near Maleny, but we're only staying a couple of days there, and then heading back south (possibly by way of the Bay there; loads to do from what I've heard, even though I tend to shy away from trendy resorts being invaded by mobs on holiday).

Fair enough man.

Maleny is still a bit of a trek up to brisbane, make sure you work out some actual good stuff to make the extra trip worth it.

Sorry i cant be of more help.
