Since this thread is dying...-casts necromancy-
What do a scale, a tire, and a checkbook have in common?

At the risk of reviving a topic for a...screw it, I lost count of how many times. ANYWAY, someone needs to post a riddle.

Riddle, anyone? Some guy wants to get into a nightclub, but doesn't know the password to get in. He decides to hang around and try to eavesdrop. Someone walks up to the door, and the doorman says "Twelve" which is replied with "Six". The doorman lets him in. Another possible patron approaches the doorman: "Six." "Three." The protagonist thinks he's heard enough, and walks confidently up to the doorman: "Ten." Remembering what he heard, the protagonist replies with "Five". He is turned away and told not to come back. What should he have said to get into the club?

He should have said "three." The amount of letters in "ten."

Woot. I have a puzzle that is very different than usual. Please feel free to ignore it and post your own riddle. There are 20 playing cards, shown below. Arrange them into five groups of four cards that have one of each suit and add up to 22. There are multiple answers. Your answer can either be textual (3 of spades, 8 of hearts, etc) or a picture of the arrangement. First correct answer wins. (Sorry for the poor copy+paste job. I literally JUST made that.)

Uh - just started working on the puzzle, and unless I misunderstood it, it's not possible. There are only 4 diamonds and 6 spades, so you can't make 5 groups with one of each suit, unless there's something clever with grouping. Maybe I'm missing something, but I think the cards are incorrect.

I'll be damned, you're right. My apologies. I'll see if I can get the correct image. My bad. :S
