Symbols are used to describe what we see
sounds to describe what we hear
feeling to describe what we touch
and flavour to describe what we taste

But what lies beyond our senses
beyond our minds
beyond our reason
and beyond our desires?

Are the works of the heart the gift from the gods?
or is the love in our chest the curse for our sins?
when the night seems lonely
and the life ahead full of wrong
we close our hearts
for no more ache to feel
but the rivers wash away
the venom in our hearts
for the more we feel
the pulse of life drive us more

And so we look at the skyes
where you behold the lonely stars
suddenly we are not alone
for now the love pulse through our hearts
and the aching memories a dim pain
as our souls entwine
the skyes alone are no more
