I know I just said that this was silly, but I think food in the US is boring. The only exciting foods are the things we get from other countries, and then we make them more boring so we can sell them cheaply.

I've always eaten and cooked an assortment of types of food. The other week I cleaned, prepared and cooked a cuttle fish.

Relym that is definitely A "Grass is Greener" scenario. Chile Relleno is really an amazing food that is pretty common around here Green Chile Cheeseburgers! I will kill for one of those and I eat them like twice a month. Im sure there are more examples like funnel cakes etc. that make our food a little more interesting.

You know, I had some delicious cheese and onion pancakes this morning. I don't know who came up with the idea, but they are a genius.

I wish we had more Mexican style restaurants around here. We've mostly just got Chinese, Indian and Turkish. I'd have to go to Birmingham for Sushi. Or American snacks and sweets. A friend went to New York once and brought back Nerds; I'd never had them before, they were pretty awesome.

Heh, I always thought those were gross. If you really want some excellent American sweets, you're better off with a Charleston Chew. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charleston_Chew

Homemade fudge is just soul-melting. Pretty much any food made from scratch (with any skill) is irresistible.
